Creation Gallery G8 is about to introduce a program of periodically scheduled workshops at which participants can experience the fun of designing and make exciting new discoveries. The first set of workshops will take place this summer: titled “mt x G8,” the focus will be on today’s popular masking tapes (mt) in all different colors and patterns.
In part 1, on August 22 (Fri), 23 (Sat) and 24 (Sun), a series of Kids Workshops will take place. The gallery walls will be transformed into a white canvas on which the young participants, using masking tape, will collaborate in creating a large artwork on the theme of “summer memories,” with elements referring to the sea, mountains, sky, etc.
In part 2, from August 27 (Wed) to September 11 (Thu) the gallery will host a shop at which visitors can purchase specially designed masking tapes created by a number of collaborating designers. Simultaneously, works by the featured designers will be on display, including a new installation by mintdesigns. An area will also be set aside where visitors can use masking tape to create their own unique metal badges. Popular badges will also be available for purchase.
During this event, the gallery itself will be decorated with masking tape. It’s sure to be a summer event that will be enjoyed by visitors and participants of all ages.
MT Kids Workshop
Two workshops will be held daily for 3 days, each session lasting approximately 90 minutes. They are designed for participation by students of elementary school age and younger. Participation is free of charge.
