Born in Shizuoka Prefecture in 1981. In 2014, completed the graduate course in Intermedia Art at Tokyo University of the Arts. In 2004, received the Grand Prize in the 22nd “Hitotsubo Exhibition” Graphics Competition. In 2015, became a full-time instructor in the Sculpture Course of the Fine Arts faculty at Nihon University College of Art. In 2007, Iida formed the “artist unit” Nerhol together with Yoshihisa Tanaka. Nerhol is active internationally, as illustrated by their solo exhibition at Foam Photography Museum in Amsterdam in 2015 and participation in Festival Images in Switzerland in 2014. In May 2016 they mounted “Nerhol Promenade” at the 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art, Kanazawa.
